Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Deacon Charles Louis Clements, 72, Beckley, WV died Sunday, January 29, 2017.

Born November 16, 1944 in Helen WV, he was the son of the late Louis Russell Clements and Lois Eulene Burks.

After graduating from Stratton High School, Beckley and serving in the US Army, he began his career as a Firefighter for the Beckley Fire Department, retiring after 27 years as a Lieutenant and was Vice President and Pension Trustee of Local #795 Teamsters.

He was a member, Deacon and Treasurer of Shiloh Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by sisters; Rometta Morgan and Carolyn Brown-Steede and brothers, Nathan Burks, Calvin and Larry Clements.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Brenda Jean Alexander Clements; sons, Charles Louis (Lisa Annette) Jr., Anthony Mark (Faye Marie) and Ryan Mitchell (Tamar Eunetta); grandchildren, Erik Tyler (Alisha LaShelle), Adam Christopher, Brianna Nicole, Aubree Nevaeh, Avery Simone and Addison Nicole; sister, Paulette Wilkins; brothers, David Burks and Lamont Clements; special family friends, Oswald Dell and Donna Kay Plumley, Zachariah and Charles (CC) Clarence.

Funeral service will be 12:00noon Friday, February 3, 2017 at Central Baptist Church, Beckley with Elder David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
