Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Deacon Daniel Aurilious Lewis "Dan-Dan the Dry Wall Man", 63, of Beckley, died Monday, July 25, 2016.

Born October 5, 1952 in Beckley, WV he was the son of the late William and Susie Evans Lewis.

He was a Drywall Installer for the City of Beckley Housing Authority and Jim Withrow Construction and a member of Heart of God Ministries, where he served as Deacon and Chief Armor Bearer for Bishop Simms.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Evans; sister, Susie Lewis and brother-in-law, Steve Galloway.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Shirley "Shirl" Galloway Lewis of Beckley; son, Daniel R. Lewis of Fairmont, WV; daughters, Mita Breckenridge of Atlanta, GA and April (Bossie) Mitchell of Beckley; brothers, George (Paula) Bester of Columbus, OH, and Joseph (Cherri) Lewis of Huntersville, NC ; sisters, Ramona Lewis, Sarah "Tee Tee" Lewis and Mary "Beth" Lewis, all of Beckley; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha Street, Beckley with Pastor Joseph Lewis and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
