Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Deacon Richard Anthony Caldwell, 59, of Beckley died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

Born May 11, 1958 in Raleigh Co. WV, he was the son of the late James "Bama" Ross and Dorothy Law Caldwell Martin.

He worked in construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of Heart of God Ministries, Beckley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Letti Caldwell and aunts, Elee Amaker and Bernice Crider.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Brenda Shepard Caldwell; son, Richard Caldwell II; daughter, Brandi Caldwell; grandchildren, Braylynn and Drahcir Caldwell-Eneje, all of Beckley; brother, B. T. (Patricia) Pennix of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, LaTonya (Timothy) Ferguson of Virginia Beach, VA, Debbie Pennix of Beckley, LaWanda (Greg) Campbell of Bowie, MD, Monica Bayne of Columbus, OH, and Theresa (Todd) Thomas of Beckley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha St., Beckley with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
