Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Elder Andrew Daniel Jones, 65, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, February 8, 2019 after a short illness.

He was born on August 7, 1953 to the late Bishop Philip H. and Pastor Cleopatra Jones, in Glen Jean, WV.

He worked as a mechanic for the Raleigh County Memorial Airport, retiring after forty years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Philip H. Jones, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, of forty-six years, Gladys Marie Beard Jones of Beckley; son, Shaun Jones of SC; daughter, Danielle Thompson of Christiansburg, VA; grandchildren, Kishaun Jones, Taylee Payne and Isiah Jones, all of Beckley; brothers, Michael (Kay) Jones of Aiken, SC and James (Delena) Jones of Beckley; sisters, Evelyn Jones, Carolyn Coats, Yvonne Law, Donita (Charles) Beard, Cheryl (Raymond) Hutchens, all of Beckley, Phyllis (Paul) Honeycutt of Dunbar, Drema Hackett of IN and Rhonda (Stanley) Dean of St. Albans and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha St., Beckley with Bishop Fred T Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
