Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Alexander “Alex” M. Allen was born on July 31, 1939. He passed on April 30, 2022, at Montgomery General Hospital after a short illness. Alex had many careers throughout his lifetime such as a nurse aide at Oak Hill Hospital, brick mason, carpenter, and many years at Primo Furniture. Alex also worked at Eden Graphics and was definitely a jack of all trades and always ready to help any family member or friends when asked.

Alex was a faithful member and dedicated usher at First Missionary Baptist Church of Boomer, Boomer WV. Alex was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elnora; two brothers, James and Easter Allen; two sisters, Mildred Williams and Mary-Magdalene Jordan; long-term companion, Mary A. Crook and special grandson, Gregory Payne. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Dr. Trina Brown; special stepson, Devoyal (Kyra) Crook; sister, Josephine Williams; grandson, Fredrick Brown; special grandchildren, Kyrell (Brittani) Crook, Devina (Jamal) Cunningham, Jordyn Crook, Devoyal (Fallyn) Crook Jr., and Antonio Robinson; special children, Vern, Betty, Stevie and Dwayne and a host of nieces, nephews, special grandchildren, family, and friends (special thanks to Dewey his neighbor).

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, May 7, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Boomer Route 60 Boomer, with Rev. Robert Frazier officiating.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service.
