NEWBURGH, N.Y. ù Andrew J. Evans, 58, of Newburgh, NY, formerly of Beckley, WV, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

Born February 22, 1957, in Montgomery, WV, he was the son of Velma Evans of Beckley, WV, and the late Andrew J. Evans, Jr.

He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Beckley, WV.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tanesha Evans; two sisters, Carmella and Gail Evans; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Virginia Scott; paternal grandparents, Andrew J. Evans Sr. and Mary Evans; and mother of his children, Nancy Moffett.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Andrew (Eden Warner) Evans, David Evans and Thomasina Evans; sisters, Ginger Evans of California and Regina Evans of Columbus, OH; brothers, Timothy Evans of California, Gerry and Reginald Evans, both of Beckley, WV; an aunt in Florida; an uncle in Cleveland, OH; numerous grandchildren; wife, Andrea Evans; special friend, Vivian; aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 259 Walsh Avenue, New Windsor, NY 12553.
