Obituary For Mr. Anthony “Moe” Leon Raimey

Mr. Anthony “Moe” Leon Raimey, 55, of Daniels, WV, gained his wings on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Moe was born on July 30, 1964 in Welch, WV, son of the late Doris Ely and adopted mother/great-grandmother, Effie Woolen.

Moe was a maintenance supervisor at Sleep Inn, in Beaver, WV, for 9 years, where he formed a special bond with many of his coworkers. He had a love for sports and was a devout Dallas Cowboys, Michigan Wolverines, and San Antonio Spurs fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Moe, in addition to his mothers, was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Francis: sister, Cynthia Bond, and nephews, Gregory Leon Rucker, Jerome Leon Rucker, and Shawn Dewayne Rucker.

Moe leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Sara, son, Ferron “Chris” Anderson of Reidsville, NC; daughters, Sheena Raimey of Beaver, WV, Sha’Ron Raimey of Atlanta GA, and Sierra Raimey of Daniels, WV; granddaughter Kaliyah “Fatty” Raimey of Beaver, WV; sisters, Pastor Sandra Raimey Jackson of Beckley, WV and Deborah (Milton) Percell of Reidsville NC; nephews, David Jackson of Bakersfield, CA and Lou and David Bond, both of Columbus, OH, special Aunt/cousin, Carol “Aunt Lo Lo” Gore of Bluefield, WV; special mother-in-law, Sharon Stafford of Daniels, WV; brothers-in-law, Timothy Stafford of Prosperity, WV and Matthew (Kathryn) Stafford of Beckley, WV; special friends, Stephen “Buck” Thompson, Raymond “Don” Moore and Charles “Chucky” Diggs, all of Beckley, WV and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Word of Truth, 911 Terrill Street Beckley with Pastor Sandra Raimey Jackson and Minister Charles Diggs officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
