Obituary For Mr. Anthony Ray Mosley

Mr. Anthony Ray Mosley was born on September 28, 1960 in Oak Hill, WV to the late Evelyn and Frank Mosley.

Anthony was raised by his grandparents Gertrude and Louis Dawkins. While living with his grandfather, who introduced Anthony to baseball, his great love for the game began.

Anthony attended Oak Hill High School, where he played baseball during his school years, and many years on various leagues within his community. Anthony was always driven and determined to make things happen. After completing high school, Anthony moved to White Sulphur Springs, WV to be closer to his dad.

Anthony began his career working side by side with his father, Frank, at the Greenbrier Hotel as a Bell Man, he was loyal and decadent to his job. Anthony worked for the Greenbrier Hotel for over 40 plus years.

Anthony, during his career, became a father to his one and only daughter, Tiffany Mosley. He was thrilled to be a father and was ready to take on all challenges of raising a child by himself from birth. He made sure that she played baseball.

Anthony had a gift for taking family photos. We would always laugh and say, “there he goes with that camera on his shoulders and his suspenders on his pants”. But because of his love for taking pictures, we all have so many memories to look back on. Thank you, brother, Anthony, for that.

Anthony always had a great love for his family, near or far. He always looked forward to our family reunion and made sure he was always there with his daughter by his side.

Anthony was always a great nephew, brother to his siblings and a great uncle to all his nieces and nephews and cousins. He would always have something in the trunk of his car for the family. Anthony was a great tour guide if you were in his neck of the woods.

Anthony leaves behind, to cherish his memories of love for his family and friends, his daughter, Tiffany Mosley of Dayton OH; grandchildren, Nya Marshal, 10yrs old, Jaylin Marshal, 9yrs old and Kahlany Marshal, 6yrs old; brothers, Michael Mosley and Kenneth Mosley, both of Brooklyn, NY and Ernest Winslow of Bronx, NY; sisters, Linda Mosley of Brooklyn, NY and Patricia Mosley-Lucas of Indianapolis, IN; twelve nieces; eight nephews; uncles, Charles Mosley and John Mosley, both of GA; aunts, Brenda Dawkins of Beckley, WV and Betty Mosley Woods of NJ and too many cousins to count them all.

Anthony, in addition to his mother and father, was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Gertrude Dawkins; brother, Wayne Mosley, sister, Joann Mosley, and a host of uncles and aunts.

We all love you, Anthony and will always remember how important family was to you, and we will continue to keep us all united. Rest in Peace.

Family directed memorial service will be 12:00PM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St., Beckley.
