Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Antonio Scott Thomas, 52, of Mead, WV died Friday, May 6, 2016.

Born December 16, 1963 in Mullins, he was the son of Cynthia Thomas and the late William Thomas.

He worked as a cook and mechanic and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Temple.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Griffin; paternal grandparents, John and Ada Thomas; great-grandmother, Lessie Mitchell; aunt, Valarie Barringer and a host of cousins, family, relatives and friends.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Melissa Maloy Thomas of Jennette, PA; children, Johvon Davis of North Carolina, Dekresha Davis and Envy Haines, both of Beckley; brothers, Don Thomas of Atlanta, GA, William Thomas and Robert ôAdamö Thomas, both of Rhodell and Andre Thomas of Beckley; uncles, Lorenzo and Larry Griffin, both of Rhodell; aunts, Joan (George) Spencer of Fredrick MD and Betty Anderson of Beckley, WV; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Paul Baptist Temple, 129 Rice Street Beckley, with Pastor Walter Leach, Pastor Walter Clay and Rev. Stanley Blanks officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
