Obituary For Mr. Carman Maurice Moss

Mr. Carman Maurice Moss, 69, of Beckley, WV died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Born December 9, 1949 in Beckley, WV, he was the last of six children born to the late John E. and Viola Clark Moss.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lola Moss Lewis and Elaine Moss; brother, Leon W. Moss and brother-in-law, Floyd Hilton Lewis, Sr.

Left to cherish precious memories are his brothers, John Edward Moss, Jr. and Charles Clark Moss both of Beckley, WV; nephew, Floyd Hilton Lewis, Jr.; niece, Karen (Frank) Johnson; grand-nephew, Frank L. (Rachel) Johnson; two grand-nieces, Laurel and Stacie Johnson; two great-grand-nieces, Jemma and Peyton Johnson; family friend, Julianna Sweatte and a host of other relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00PM Thursday May 9, 2019 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel 748 S. Fayette St, Beckley with Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

I have wonderful memories of the Moss family. Ms. Elaine Moss taught me in the 5th grade at St Francis de Sales Catholic School in the late 60's. She was a wonderful teacher and lady. Leon built computers for me and installed them at my house in my adult years. A brilliant man and always a pleasant person. My sincerest condolences, love and respect for Charles and the Moss family!

I remember Carman from the many times I used the business for my vehicle! He was almost there every time! I truly missed him being there after the business closed! Rest in Peace Carman!
