Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Charles Louis “Chuck” Moore Jr. was born June 27, 1976 in Beckley WV.

Chuck attended the public schools of Raleigh County and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He was a member and Associate Pastor at St. Paul Baptist Temple. Chuck loved cooking, collecting recipes, fishing and sports, his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a child he played midget football for East Beckley, were later in life, he was elected president of the East Beckley Football League.

Chuck loved to read his Bible and study on scriptures that he would use for his Sunday sermons.

Chuck departed this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on January 8, 2025 after battling multiple health issues that contributed to his passing.

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, Minister Loranzy and Beatrice Moore, Mable Maxwell and John Harris, along with a host of aunts and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his fondest memories, his mother, Carrie O. Moore of Tampa FL; father, Charles L. Moore Sr. and wife, Marilyn Moore of Beckley, WV; daughters, Ke’Aundra Moore (Dhamere), and Kerriauna Moore; sons, Kenyan Moore (Sydney) and Kaeden Moore; sister, Tomeka Mathis (Arteta Mathis) and Tricia Aliff (Kevin Richardson; grandchildren, Adonis Ramos, Ny’Ella and Nehemiah Moore; nieces, Kenya and Kimora Moore, Amanda, Haley; nephews, Kanye Moore and Devon; aunts, Alice Hembrick and Veronica Maxwell; uncles, Alvin Moore (Francis Moore) and Fred Maxwell, along with a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Paul Baptist Temple
129 Rice St. Beckley with Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Entombment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
