Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Clarence Junior Moore, 73, of Beckley died Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

Born November 11, 1941 in Slab Fork, WV, he was the son of the late Eugene Vernon and Reverend Judy Fannie (Moore) Moore.

He was of the Apostolic Faith, a Sunday School teacher, United States Army Retiree, and recipient of two purple hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Joyce Moore; brother, Vernon Eugene Moore; sister-in-law, Mary E. Moore; and brothers-in-law, Ernest J. Mitchell and Thomas M. Alexander.

Left to cherish precious memories are his son, Clarence Ezell Moore, Jr., of Charlotte, NC; brothers, John P. Moore of Paterson, NJ and James E.(Rose Mary) Moore of Victorville, Calif; sisters, Lu Alice ( Ray) Larkins of Detroit, MI, Delpha Mitchell of Clinton Township, MI, Julia Swann of Jamaica, NY, Geraldine (Hazell) Sowell of Jefferson, SC, Mary J. Alexander and Queen (Donald) Thompson, both of Beckley, WV, and Gwendolyn (William) Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Robena Moore of South O Zone Park, NY; 3 grandchildren; special persons, Dorothy Melson of Gadsen, AL and Lillie Moore of Beckley, WV; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV with Dr. Bishop Fred T. Simms, Pastor Wesley Moore, Elder Dave Moore, and Minister William "B.B." Hamby officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
