Mr. Daniel Hardy Sr., 81, of St. Cloud FL formerly of Halifax County, NC died Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Born May 12, 940 in Halifax County, NC, he was the son of the late Johnny and Alice Wilkins Hardy Sr.

He was employed as a Leather cutter for Everlast Factory. His hobbies were fishing and bowling. He belonged to a bowling league for many years and won many trophies and awards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Johnny Hardy Jr., Queenie Hardy, Alberta Smith, Naomi Knight, Mayola Wright, Alice Bynum, Mary Andrew, Larry Hardy, Winslow Hardy and Patti Maryland Left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Mary L. Perkins Hardy: son, Daniel Hardy Jr. of Jackson, NJ; daughters, Danetta Hardy of Chester, NY and Debbie Thompson of Augusta, GA; siblings, Ricky (Betty) Hardy of Emporia, VA, Janie (Donnie) Tillery of Rocky Mount, NC, Angela Hardy of Baltimore, MD and Melody (Phillip) Griffin of Portsmith, VA; sister and brother in law Evelyn and Harry Richardson, of Savannah, GA; nieces, Caroline Slade of Pine Top, NC and Karen Perkins of New York City, NY; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel 748 S. Fayette St. Beckley. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service.
