Obituary For Mr. Dennis Windsor Banks
Mr. Dennis Windsor Banks, 85, on Friday, September 8, 2023, peacefully transitioned to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dennis was born on October 31, 1937 in Mount Hope, West Virginia to the late Charles Lawrence and Maggie Price Banks.

Dennis was a 1956 graduate of the last graduating class of DuBois High School. After graduation, he entered into military service with the United States Air Force. He retired as a Senior Master Sargent with 34 years of service. After his retirement from the military, he worked as an investigator for the Ohio Liquor Control Commission. He then began a career with Pitney Bowles, which was later acquired by Monarch Marketing.

One of his favorite times of the year was coming to Xenia, Ohio for Thanksgiving dinner expecting to have carryout plates which included pound cake, even though he had just received a whole pound cake for his birthday.
Dennis was a big supporter of the DuBois High School Reunion and enjoyed reconnecting with his old classmates.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lawrence and Maggie Louise Price Banks; sisters, Mrs. Lois Raye Warren and Ms. Gloria Jean Banks and brothers, James (Jimmy) Banks, Sr., Wilbur “Billy” Banks, Lawrence “Lonnie” Banks and Leon Trigg.

(James) Lang of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Samantha Gerchelle Banks of Las Vegas, NV and Jaron Catrail Banks of Pensacola, FL; one great-grandchild, Houston Pierre Banks of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Samantha S. Banks of Beckley, WV; special nephew, Mr. Steven A. Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00PM Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at United Missionary Baptist Church 205 S. Fayette Ave. Mt. Hope with Pastor Sandra Jackson and Sister Vicky Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
