Mr. Donald Lee Thompson Sr., 65, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, spreading his wings and taking his heavenly flight to be with the Lord. Born April 21, 1954 in Beckley, he was the son of the late John L. and Eleanor Ware Thompson. Donald was a member of St. Matthew AME Church; a fabricator of electronics for many years. Donald, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his son, Donald Thompson Jr.; brother, John L. Thompson; sister, Yvonne Stanford and grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Kelly. Donald leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Jacqueline; sons, Samuel J. Thompson and Marcus D. Thompson, both of Beckley; daughters, Domanick C. Thompson of Sophia; Shelby Y. Helm and Tia S. Farmer, both of Beckley; Domanatica S. Robinson of Columbus, OH; brother, Forster (Brenda) Thompson of NYC, NY; favorite cousins, Elder Michael McCray and Robert McCray; special friend, Carolyn Tinsley; five grandsons; nine granddaughters and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00PM, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Manna House Ministries, 700 F. Street, Beckley, with Elder Michael McCray and Bishop Herman Bryant officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
