Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

I will always remember Doug & Bumpy growing up--inseparable--always walking up and down the.hill together--and the lonliness look of despair on his face when Bumpy left him. Doug's quiet demeanor & his nice smile all exploded into one hilarious guy as an adult. I remember Doug, Sonja (Sonnie), and Mary's son at our 1992(?) Family Reunion. It makes me laugh now thinking of them & that event. And, I will never forget and always cherish, appreciate and remember Doug's determination (as he smiled--he wouldn't take no for an answer) to help carry our mother (in spite of having enough) with the rest of the guys to her final resting place. When my mother passed, he shared he would always remember how our mother would always marvel at the beautiful, blue sky. It's the little things through the years that flood mine. Cordelia, let all your wonderful memories of the Marshall Family gatherings through the years give you peace today and in the years to come.
