Obituary For Mr. Edward James Collins

Mr. Edward James Collins, 77, of Beckley, WV died Friday, December 25, 2020.

Edward was born March 9,1943 in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Peter and Rosetta Thornton Collins.

Edward was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church; member of the American Legion; a driver for Uber; and a volunteer for the Raleigh County Senior Center.

Edward, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his son, Antwon; brothers, Pete, Eugene, Alphonso, Jessie and David; sister, LaTisha Wardick; and stepmother, Madeline Burke Collins.

Edward leaves to cherish precious memories his children, Edward Collins Jr. of Helmetta, NJ, Glen (Edith) Morris of Charlotte, NC, Yvette (Robert) Postell of Matewan, NJ and Lanelle Morris of Plainfield, NJ; brothers, Charles Collins of Bluefield, WV and Frank Collins of San Antonio, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private funeral service will be 12:00Noon Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel 748 S. Fayette St., Beckley with Rev. Charles Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing gloves, masks and observing social distancing, may pay their respects to the family beginning at 10:00AM.
