Obituary For Mr. Fabian Gore

Fabian Garnet Gore was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Fabian was born on May 29, 1967. His journey began in the small town of Glen Jean, WV, born to the late William H. Calloway and Ella Mae Gore. He was called home to be with our Lord and walk with the angels on July 7, 2021.

Affectionately known as β€œFay”, Fabian was a 1986 graduate of Mount Hope High School. He was an exceptional football player and an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fabian was a simple man who loved to watch his sports, old TV shows and listen to music. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Every person he encountered loved him, and he never met a person he did not come to love. He was a true friend that you could always rely on and count on. He always stood up for the person being bullied, and had no problems throwing blows when he had too (Dodge City).

He never complained about anything while battling the lasting results of a stroke. When he was ready to go, he left peacefully and quietly to join his parents in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents William H. Calloway and Ella Mae Gore on June 18, 2021.

Fay leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Ebone Gore-Gray of Killeen, TX; three brothers, Robin β€œRob” (Jackie) Gore of Waldorf, MD, Terry Gore (Tradyce), and Kerri Calloway of Washington, DC; three sisters, Lavette Gore of Col., OH, Carmen Gore of Beckley, WV and Felicia Calloway of Wash., DC; two grandchildren, Jakiah Pearson-Gray and Nyla Johnson; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the First Missionary Baptist Church 469 Collins Hill Rd Glen Jean with Rev. Eugene Nabors and Rev. Richard Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing gloves and masks and observing social distancing, may view one hour prior to the service.
