Obituary For Mr. Frederick Dwaine Boxley

Mr. Frederick Dwaine Boxley, 69, of Mt. Hope, WV passed Monday, November 24, 2025.

Mr. Boxley, known by all who loved him as “Box” or “Fred”, was born February 7, 1956 in Charleston, WV.

Box, throughout his life, was a man of many trades and talents, but he partook in cooking and masonry work to
name a few.

Fred held a great love for riding his scooter chair around and socializing with anyone who could catch him still long enough to have a conversation. You could often find him riding around Mt. Hope and Beckley with a smile on his face. He also held an extreme love for loud music. Many times, you would hear him before you saw him. We will all miss that smile and the blaring of his speakers as he would dance around the living room. Now he’s dancing in the company of Jesus.

Fred leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Virginia Boxley; two daughters, Jennifer Ross and Shandrea Lee; grandchildren, Shakyrah Ross, Josiah Ross, Jeheil Ross, Lyric Lee, Jessica Goodson, Latrell Smith, Tziah Ward, Alexander Rose; one great granddaughter, Kaydence Ross; two sisters; and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Friday, December 5, 2025 at United Missionary Baptist Church 205 S. Fayette Ave. Mt. Hope. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing mask and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
