Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Gary Lamont Leftwich, 61, of Beckley died Thursday, September 3, 2015.

Born March 16, 1934 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Etta Vene Moore Leftwich of Beckley and the late Leroy Leftwich.

He was a cook and member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Millicent Horton Leftwich; sons, Devlin M. (Falon) Horton of Woodbridge, VA, and Tyrus S. Horton and Gary L Leftwich Jr., both of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Leroy Leftwich, Jr of St. Paul, MN, W. Darrel (Kim) Leftwich of Ashland, VA and Robert (Rita) Leftwich of Beckley, WV; sister, Etta B. Leftwich of Charlotte, NC; mother-in-law, Julia Horton; niece, Shynell Horton; grandchildren, Madisyn Horton, Leah Horton and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Thursday, September 10, 2015 with Rev W. Darrell Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mother Etta V. Leftwich.
