Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. George H. Palmer, 63, of Montgomery, WV died Monday, August 8, 2016.

Born March 12, 1953 in Carbondale, WV, he was the son of Garfield Bohanna Sr. of Smithers and the late Helen Bohanna, Daniel H. Palmer and Margaret A. Anderson.

He worked as a coal miner and at Alloy, KCS Janitorial Services and Anderson-Hairston Funeral Home. He was a long-time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Carbondale.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Palmer.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his sons, Erik (Tisjauna) and Kevin; sisters, Stephanie, Ashlie and Scarlet; brothers, William, Theodore, Jerome, Garfield (Rita), Gerald, David (Sally), Donald,; sisters, Margaret (Jerry), Gwendolyn, Carol (Emory), Joyce (Jessie), Rebia, Sandra (Vic), Joan (Robert), Sherry; special mother, Pearl Taylor; special brothers, Lewis(Debbie), Richard; special sisters, Barbara, Tracy; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Brookside Ministries COGIC, 18419 Deepwater Road, Mt Carbon, WV with Rev. Cornell Byers and Bishop Thomas R. Murray Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
