Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Henry R. Robinson, Jr., 72, of Charleston, WV passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.

Henry, also known to his family and friends as “Bike” was born to the late Henry Robinson, Sr., and Alice Whitehead on December 10, 1948, in Beckley, WV. He graduated from Stratton High School and attended Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, OH. He was also a member of the USAir Force. Henry was a respected and dedicated corrections officer and retired from the WV Regional Jail Authority as Deputy Chief of Operations.

He married Brenda Griffey, the love of his life in 1970, who survives him. Henry is also survived by his sons, Kelly, Kevin, and Corey Robinson; as well as his grandchildren Miles and Olivia Robinson; brothers, Gregory “Speedy”, Robert, James, and David Robinson; sisters, Delilah (Vicky) Robinson, Leola (Jay) Bateman, and Lisa Robinson; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Welcome Baptist Church 206 Eighth St. Beckley with Bishop David Allen officiating.

Friends, while wearing mask and observing social distancing, may view one hour prior to the service at the church.
