Jack attended the Church of God M.P.G.T in Harper Heights, WV and was an ordained deacon and served faithfully. He was a well-loved, dedicated, and devoted member. He was known to many as the “Favorite Senior Deacon” and “Pops”. His favorite songs were: “Falling in Love with Jesus”, and “His Strength Is Perfect”. His favorite scripture was: “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth”. (Psalms 34:1)

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son, R.J.

Jack departed this life in peace surrounded by his family.

Jack leaves to cherish and carry on his memory his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Simon; son, Jack Simon Jr. of Beckley, WV; daughters, Dorothy (Shawn) Mayo-Ross of Beckley, WV and Jaclyn Simon (Daniel Rodriguez Sr.) of Roanoke, VA; grandson, Daniel Rodriguez Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and the M.P.G.T.
