Mr. James David Lawson, I, 58, of Beckley, WV died Friday, October 23, 2015.

Born February 23, 1957 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Virginia LaBelle Berger Lawson, Sr.

Mr. Lawson graduated from WWHS in 1975 and was an Army veteran. He worked detailing, and for a cleaning service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eliza and James Berger; paternal grandparents, Henrietta and George Lawson; special mother, Hazel Wilson; brother, Andrew Lawson; sister, Doretha Wallace and nephews Willie Lawson and Royal Thomas, Jr.

Left to cherish precious memories are his children, Jermell (Donna) Coaltrain of Pryor, OK, James Lawson II of Tulsa, OK and Jamie Lawson of Fort Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Jeffry (Elaine) of New Jersey, NY, Charles (Hazel) of Jacksonville, NC, George (Ellen) of New York, NY and John (Karen) Lawson of Jacksonville, NC; sisters, Beverly (Robert) Smith of Edna, OH, Henrietta (Glen) Pryor of Beckley, WV and Jennetta (Royal Sr.) Thomas of Charleston, WV; ex-wife, Delores Netters of Tulsa OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV. with Prophet Robert Smith and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will be at Donel Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Institute WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
