Grandpa - moving to Missouri knowing that I wouldn't be able to spend as much time with you was hard. Now that you passed, I find it is much harder to even go about my day without thinking about you. I can't wrap my arms around your plaid shirt and suspenders, I can't FaceTime you from Dad's phone to see your smiling face. I miss you so so much grandpa. My favorite memory with you was when we were sitting at the kitchen table at your house drinking tea and you were telling me how much you loved grandma and missed her. Your heart was so kind and tender. I loved that about you. You always made us feel calm. I pray for comfort for my daddy, my uncles, and my aunt as they have gone through so much over this past year. Father comfort them. Bring peace to their hearts Father God. Give them strength to continue putting one foot in front of the other even when it hurts. Father let them cry on your shoulder when they are weeping. Comfort them in their grief as we remember my sweet grandpa and their dad. In Jesus' name.
