Mr. James Lawrence “Flash” Gordon, 71, of Lewisburg, WV died Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Born November 12, 1946 in Lewisburg, WV, he was the son of Neva Jo Cooley of Lewisburg and the late George G. Gordon.

James retired from UPS.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, George G. Gordon Jr. and Frances “Nanny” Hayes.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish precious memories are his sons, James Lawrence (Veronica) Lane of Cleveland, OH, James Lawrence Gordon Jr. of Lewisburg, WV and Craig Lamonte (Bonnie) Johnson of Richmond, VA; daughters, Sherry Elain (Louis) Jones of Cleveland, OH, Tracy Annette Gordon of Atlanta, GA, Lisa Gordon (Chris) Mackey of Lewisburg, WV and Melissa Raquel (Kelly) Gordon of Charlotte, NC; brother, Marion Gordon and sister, Denise (Jay) Jones, both of Lewisburg, WV; special companion, Vickie Keleher; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Lewisburg Baptist Church, 246 N. Jefferson St., Lewisburg with Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
