Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Jessie Romanuel James, 64, of Beckley, died Monday, September 5, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House after a long illness.

Born July 13, 1952 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Derothia Drucilla Sweatte James and the late Tom David James.

Mr. James worked as a Mechanic, was a Disabled Veteran, and member of Christlike Worship Center.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas James

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Constance ôMickeyö Wise James; sons, Thomas Terell and Michael William James, both of Beckley; mother, Dorethia James of Beckley; brother, Tom David James Jr.; sister, Molly E. (George) Dixon; grandchildren, Katy, Thomas, Kabrea, Meisha, Taylor; niece, Jennifer Dixon; nephew, Brent Dixon; great-nephew, Dashun Dixon; special friends, Ronald Steven and Raymond Day, and a host of cousins aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, September 9, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave. with Elder Phylander Moon officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
