Mr. John Westbrook, 92, of Beckley died Thursday, February 26, 2015.

Born February 7, 1923 in Wilcox County Rehoboth, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Calhoun and Rosie Westbrook

Mr. Westbrook was formerly employed as a Trackman for the New York City Transit Authority and was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church, Beckley.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mack McMillon and sister, Mary McMillian

Left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Mary R. Langford Westbrook; children, Emmanuel Westbrook, Joseph Westbrook, Christine Westbrook and Patricia DeJesus, all of New York, NY, Dorenda K. Loney and Cotilia I. Loney, both of Bronx, NY; brothers, David (Minnie)) Blackmon, Perry (Nellie) Blackmon, both of NY, NY and Leon (Ann) Blackmon of Orrville, Alabama; sister, Rose (Prince) Suggs of Rapids, NC; grandchildren, Heather, and Tara Westbrook, Aliyah Westbrook and Nadia Christine Westbrook, Nicole Chappelle, Dame Raven Westbrook and John De Jesus; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Kennedy and Chloe Westbrook, Madison, Robert Jason, Jr. and Noah Chappelle; devoted caregivers, Robert Colvin, and Bishop Gerald (Linda) Dillard, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Central Baptist Church Brooks & G Streets., Beckley with Minister Brian Copney officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Church
