Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Johnathan Willis Deane Goard, 32, of Oak Hill, WV died Friday, November 19, 2021.

Born March 14, 1989, in Beckley WV, he was the son of Lura Goard, Jr and the late Colethia Deane Goard.

Johnathan was an employee of Redwing Company & Logging Supply.

Johnathan, in addition to his mother, was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willis Johnathan and Margaret Leftwich Deane and paternal grandfather, Lura Goard Sr.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his paternal grandmother, Sue Kinney; daughters, Jada and Anyiah Goard; father, Lura Goard, Jr, sister, Coleisia Goard; step- sisters, Alisha Young and Ashley Brown Terrell; aunt, Venessa Diagne and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

As per his request, he has been cremated.

Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Friday December 3, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Harlem Heights 416 Broadway Ave. Oak Hill with Rev. Shannon Robinson officiating.
