Obituary For Mr. Jordan B Evans, Jr.
Mr. Jordan B. "Snooky" Evans Jr., 91, of Hilltop, WV. peacefully transitioned from Earth to Glory at his home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
Born January 15, 1927 in Concho, WV, he was the son of the late Jordan Sr. and Cornelia Evans.
He graduated from Dubois High School, Mt. Hope, WV in 1946. Shortly after he joined the Army and proudly served his country in the Korean War. After his discharge he moved to Brooklyn, New York. There, his pride and joy were managing an all-male gospel group "The Heavenly Tones".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, by his loving wife of sixty years Ruby M. Evans, on January 15, 2018; son, Charles Edward Evans; brothers, Willie, Clarence, James and Gilbert and sisters, Armelia, Juanita and Clara.
Left to cherish precious memories are several devoted nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday August 5, 2018 at Hilltop Baptist Convention Center 285 Baptist Road Hill Top with Rev. Charles Brown and Bishop David Allen officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Oak Hill.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the convention center.
