Obituary For Mr. Kenneth Ray Fortune
Mr. Kenneth Ray Fortune, 55, of Midway, WV died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at UVA. Hospital in Charlottesville VA, after a sudden illness.
Born May 21, 1959. he was the son of the late William Henry and Mary Buckner Fortune.
Kenny worked as a coal miner and retired from Performance Coal. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends, joking, laughing, gardening, giving out candy, and enjoying life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David, William, and Robert Fortune
Left to cherish his memories are his son Kenneth Tyrone (Evon) Seigler; grandson, Kenneth Bradley Seigler, and unborn grandson, Nathaniel Tyrone Seigler, all of Augustine, FL; twin brother, Keith of Midway, WV and brother, Danny of Charleston WV; sisters, Brenda of Charleston WV, and Melanie of Beckley WV and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and a multitude of friends. Kenny never met a stranger.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley, with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
