Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Larry Lewis Cousins, 69, of Beckley died Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Larry was born March 17, 1953, in Stanaford City, WV, he was the son of Mary Cousins of Beckley, WV and the late Carl L. Cousins.

Larry was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Concord College.

Larry was a former coal miner, factory worker and was well known through- out his community when able he would help others with anything from construction down to lawn care.

Larry, in addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Cousins, Eric Cousins and two stillborn brothers; sister, Joann Simon; grand- mother, Lucy Carey Cousins; nephews, William Simon, Terrill Cousins, and Kevin Cousins; niece, Teona Cousins; brother-in-law, Norman Powell, and uncle, Kenneth Freeman.

Larry, in addition to his mother, leaves to cherish precious memories his son, Aaron Hannah of Beckley, WV; bonus daughter, Cheryl Hannah of Beckley, WV, brother, Carl Cousins of Laurel, MS; sisters, Mary Alice (Larry) Moore, Diana (Jerome) Bradley, and Loretta Powell, all of Beckley, WV, Teresa Lo- gan of Charleston, WV, and Tracy Cousins of Parkersburg, WV; brother-in- law, Rudolph (Chucky) Simon; aunt, Gloria Freeman and special friend, Roy Campbell, all of Beckley, WV; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whom he loved abundantly.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Church 141 New Guinea Ave. Lanark with Pastors Damon Hamby and Brian Wallington officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior.
