Obituary For Mr. Leonard Edward Richardson

Mr. Leonard Edward Richardson Sr., of Dayton, OH formerly of Beckley, WV, went home to be with our LORD on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton, OH.

Leonard graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley, WV and, after 30 years of service, retired from GM Truck and Bus.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, David Sr. and Evelyn Richardson; brothers, Willie (Donna) Richardson, Johnnie (Starr) Richardson, and David Richardson Jr.

Leonard leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gwen C. Richardson; daughter, Shantrice M. Richardson of Huber Heights, OH; son, Leonard E. Richardson Jr., of Dayton, OH; sisters, Carolyn Richardson of Cleveland, OH, Betty J. Pemberton of Beckley WV, and Evelyn Richardson of Raleigh, WV; brothers, Alfonza Richardson of Dayton, OH and Paul Russell (Nettie) Richardson of Mt. Hope, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00AM Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel 748 S. Fayette St. Beckley. Committal service will follow at Blueridge Memorial Gardens 5251 Robert C. Byrd Dr. Beckley.
