Mark Anthony Shropshire, 51, passed Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at his home, in Oak Hill. He was currently employed with Oak Hill and Montgomery Police Departments, having previously worked for Smithers, Fayetteville and Mt. Hope Police Depts., Montgomery Fire Dept; Callenton Coal & Cook Weight Measure, and Smithers Kroger.

He was a member of Don-Wood Baptist Church, Morris Drive, Montgomery, WV. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Rev. John W. Shropshire; and sister, Captain Rosiland C. Miller Ball. Mark is survived by his devoted mother, Geraldine Shropshire; brother, Floyd L. Miller; sisters, Glyn M. Houchins, husband, Don and Margaret M. Lee, husband, Rev. Robert Lee.

Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at First Baptist Church Montgomery, 312 4th Ave., Montgomery, WV. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, and his cremains will be inurned, with his father, at Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch, WV.
