Marshall A. Ross, 75, of Pittsburgh, PA died Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

Born July 3, 1942 in Woodbay WV, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Ross Jr. and Pauline Poole Ross.

Marshall retired from the City of Pittsburgh and University of Pennsylvania and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Also preceding him in death are brothers, Thomas Dennis, Lynn Ross, Rev. Jewel Ross and Stanley Daniels.

Left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Juanita Brooks Ross of Beckley; sons, Rev. Alonzo (Monica) Murphy Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Jamaal Murphy and Mark Randall Ferris of Beckley; daughters, Antoinette Murphy of Pittsburgh, PA, Marcetta Ross Covington of Cleveland, OH, Carla Massey of St. Louis, MS, Sonia Lynette Ferris Estepha of Hampton, VA; brothers, Harold (Francis) Ross of Lester, WV, and Melvin B. Ross of Beckley, WV; sister, Elizabeth (William) Ross Durgan of Glen White, WV; twenty-eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Worley Rd., Beckley with Rev. Alfonzo Murphy Jr., Elder Melvin Ross II, and Rev. Nathaniel Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
