Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Millard Murray Francis, Jr., 82, of Beckley, WV died Saturday, July 2, 2016.

Born October 6, 1933 in Slab Fork, WV, he was the son of the late Millard Murray and Cordie Coleman Francis.

He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, worked for Gray Lumber Company and was a member of American Legion Post 32 and Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Beckley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey J. Francis; brother, Earl Francis and daughters, Cheri Francis Neal and Alessandra Francis.

Left to cherish precious memories are his son, Millard Murray (Carolyn) Francis III of Beckley, WV; daughters, Sheila (Robert) Francis Lyles and Sabrena Francis, both of Charlotte, NC; sister, Fredella Francis Terrell of Tucson, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Avenue, Beckley, WV with Rev. Nelson Staples, III officiating.

Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
