Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Preston Charles Turner, 62, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Beckley, WV and Cleveland, OH, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

Born January 19, 1952, he was the son of Charles Hundley and the late Mary Jeanette Hoye.

Affectionately called Terry by his family and close friends, he was reared in Beckley, WV and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jeanette Hoye and step father, Earle Hoye; step mother, Dorothy Hundley; maternal grandparents/ adoptive parents, Preston & Naomi Turner; paternal grandparents, Charles and Verette Hundley; sister, Diahann Allen; and nephew, Duwan Harris.

He is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn Turner and her mother, Jacqueline Turner; his grandson, Devon, all of the Cleveland area; his father, Charles Hundley and brother Charles C. Hundley both of Cleveland area; sisters, Francyne (Linville) Hawthorne of Beckley, WV, Jewell & Gina Hoye both of Cleveland area, E. Michelle Hicks also of Cleveland area; and a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great- nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Faith Temple of Deliverance, TPC with Pastor Wayne Hoye and Bishop Bobby Lee Tunstalle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
