Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Ralph Edward Walton, 67, died Monday May 2, 2016 at home in Martinsburg, WV.

Born March 12, 1949 in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late Hubert Abbott and Gertrude Armstead Walton.

A Disabled Veteran, having served in Vietnam, he enjoyed watching professional football and basketball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents; stepson, Dwayne Gore and nephew, Sean Lowe.

Left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Ellestine Jones Walton of Martinsburg; sons, Ralph E. (Elana) Walton II of Mt. Hope and David Walton of Hilltop; daughter, Renee Walton (Brian) Hayes of Charlotte, NC; stepson, Craig (Donitta) Johnson Jr. of Beckley; stepdaughters, Bobbi Johnson of Mt. Hope and Natalie Jones of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers, Hubert Walton and Tony (Paula) Walton, both of Mt. Hope, David Walton of New Mexico and Maurice Walton of Oak Hill; sisters, Rita Jones of Mt. Hope, Donna McKayhan and Dr. Robin Chianumba, both of Oak Hill; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

In keeping with RalphÆs final wishes he was cremated.

Memorial service will be 2:00PM Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Spirit & Truth Ministries, 100 Main Street, Oak Hill, with Deacon James Hutton officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
