Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Richard Dwayne Bennett, lovingly known as, “ReRun”, 65, of Minden, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Richard was born March 12, 1960 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Willye Mae Brinson and was a longtime resident of WV.

Richard proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard for 13 years. A hardworking man, he spent most of his life driving coal trucks, where he found joy and freedom in being behind the wheel. His greatest passions were being on the open road, casting a line while fishing, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Known for his humor, big heart, and unwavering loyalty, Richard left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Seward Karl and Loma Mae Bennett; mother, Willye Mae Brinson; brother, William Brinson Jr.; and great-grandson, Kasai Rose-Milam.

Richard is survived by his one and only daughter, Takisha Marie Rose Mangini and husband, Matthew of Minden, WV; brother, Karl Bennett and wife Judy of Fort Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Mangini, ZuRick Rose, KendRick Rose, and Tazia Mangini; three great-grandchildren and special friend/caretaker, Marilyn Shae Skaggs.

Richard’s legacy will live on through his family, his stories, and the many miles he traveled. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Community Restoration Worship Center 103 Lincoln St. Oak Hill, WV.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
