Obituary For Mr. Richard Gray
Mr. Richard Gray, 65, of Mt Hope, died Saturday, November 19, 2016.
Born December 29, 1950, he was the son of the late William and Louise Gray.
He graduated from Mt Hope High School, where he ran track and played basketball. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. After thirty-five years, he retired from the Beckley VA Medical Center and was an active member of Outreach for Christ Christian Center, Beckley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Billie V. Gray; son, Dortornieous ôTonyö Gray; brothers, William ôChiefö, Robert, Freddie, Eugene, John and Lee Phillip Gray and sister, Linda Merritt.
Those left to cherish precious memories are his sons, Richie Gray and Spencer (Leslie) Gray, both of Mt. Hope and Townsend (Cheryl) Gray of Oak Hill; sister, Patricia (Sherman) Beasley of Mt. Hope;19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; special friends, Rufus ôBillö Wallace and Tony Calloway and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Outreach for Christ Christian Center, 416 ôG.ö St., Beckley, with Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
