Obituary For Mr. Ronald Edward Davis

Ronald Edward Davis, 56, long term resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, died February 3, 2017 following a sudden illness.

Ronald was the eighth child of James N. Davis and Maggie Lee Fisher Davis. Ronald was raised in Beckley, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronald confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Nelson Staples Jr. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He attended the Raleigh County Public School System. He joined the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged as AE3 Lance Corporal in 1984.

Ronald worked as a self- employed contractor and realtor in Honolulu for many years. Always with a thirst for knowledge and better understanding of his faith he took on line classes at the Louisiana Baptist University and obtained a BS Degree in Theology, in 2011 the University of Hawaii, Certification Substance Abuse Counseling, in 2013 Argosy University BA in Psychology and 2017 Argosy University was to graduate in May with a Masters of Art Degree and Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to full time employment, classes, and work, Ronald was the family's primary Caretaker for uncle John David Fisher, a retired Air Force Veteran until his death on March 16, 2016.

Ronald you are loved and missed by all.

Ronald was preceded in death by brother, Haywood L. Davis Sr.; sisters, Maggie Lena Davis, Carolyn Davis Hickman, Barbara Frances Davis; ex-wife, Teresa Kristen Davis; nephew, Jeremiah J. Moore; niece, Jatara J. Moore; brother-in law, William K. Bradley.

He is survived by brothers, William (Diana) Davis Sr. of Warner Robins, GA, James Willie Davis of Beckley, WV; sisters, Lorey Jean Baker, Mary E. Bradley and Theresa Davis Manns all of Beckley, WV, and Savannah Davis of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts, Sallie (John) Alexander of Philadelphia, PA, Beulah Reid of Trenton, NJ; sisters-in-law, Diane Davis of Parsippany, NJ and a host of nieces nephews cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave, Beckley, WV with Reverend Nelson Staples III officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
