Mr. Sandy Lewis "Boonie" Wells Jr., 49, of Midtown Terrace, Mt. Hope passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

Born January 14, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Mary Allen Wells and the late Sandy Wells, Sr.

Mr. Wells was a cook and was a member of Glorious Church of God in Christ, Mt. Hope, WV.

Sandy was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was a very fun, and funny person. He was very outgoing, loving, understanding, caring, and never judge mental.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Major and Charolette Wells; maternal grandparents, Emmitt, and Alicia Allen; aunt, Fran Allen; niece, Sheena Jones; cousins, Tomasa Allen and Temeka Scruggs Walker.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish precious memories are his children, Raizon Dureay Lewis Wells of Mt. Hope, Alicia Kay Dominique Wells of Mt. Hope, and Shyan Amina Wells of Oak Hill; sisters, Rachel (Thomas) Shelton of Oak Hill, Melissa Ann Wells of Bradley, Michelle (Andrew) Staples of Mt. Hope; brother, Micheal (Tamika) Nicholes of North Carolina; childrenÆs mother, Angela Cosby of Oak Hill; nephews, Joshua Barringer, Thomas Shelton, Jr., TeÆomo Shelton. Andrew Staples, Jr., Antwjuan Pagan, Micheal, Nate, and Quay Nicholes; nieces, Tomasa, Wells, and Andrea Staples; uncles Emmitt (Joberta) Allen, Lewis (Debra) Allen, Thomas (Velma) Allen, and Leslie Allen all of Mt. Hope, aunts, Edna (Ralph) Farrow of Mt. Hope, WV and Mary Bass Wells of New York; two special friends, Eugene (Tanya) Dow and Donnita Torrence; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Glorious Church of God in Christ Mt. Hope, WV with Minister Lewis Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
