Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Shawn Dewayne Anderson, 48, of Murfreesboro, TN and Beckley, died Friday, March 13, 2020. Shawn was born March 5, 1972 in Beckley, he was the son of Michael Anderson of Beckley and the late Rezetta Bly Anderson. Shawn was a coalminer, a caregiver for his father and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Beckley.

Shawn, in addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Jalen Tucker; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James and Cassie Anderson; maternal grandparents, Rev. James and Margaree Bly; and nephew, Kaimyn Anderson. Shawn, in addition to his father, leaves to cherish precious memories his children, Khalil Anderson, Brittany Anderson, Brayden Anderson and Kaitlyn Calacino, all of Beckley; sisters, Dorothy Tabor of Reidsville, NC and Lisa Bandy of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Michael Anderson of Murfreesboro, TN and Brandon (Shemica) Anderson of Beckley; three grandchildren, Keigan Tucker, Kolton Tucker and Lennon Calacino; special nieces and nephews, Lorenzo Anderson, Chris Anderson, Kyrsha Anderson, Ashley Waters, Eridanus Ali Bey (AJ), Sheena and Sha’ron Raimey, Erin Bain, Brooke Williams, Blake Penn and Braxton Berry; special aunts, Nettie Bly, Della Leisure and Cleola Moore, all of Beckley, Joyce Bly of Detroit, MI; Stella Meggison of Atlanta, GA and Yvonne Winn of Dallas, TX; special cousins, Melissa, Angie (Phil), Eddie, Kenny, Stevie, Kim, Kevin, Tweedy and Duane and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 4:00PM Friday, July 3, 2020 at New River Park, 513 Ewart Ave. Beckley, with Rev. Eugene Nabors officiating.
