Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Sherman Lamont Beasley was born on September 4, 1948, in Cranberry, WV to the late William and Gladys Redman.

Sherman was adopted and raised by the late William and Mary Beasley. He completed his education at Stratton High School. He was married to the love of his life Patricia Diane Beasley on April 6, 1969.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Virginia Smith, Jo Ann Davis, and Clarice Robinson; brothers, Charles Raymond Robinson, William Robinson, William Beasley, Rudolph Beasley, and Leon Beasley.

Survivors include one sister, Frances Montgomery of Beckley, WV and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A special thanks to the staff of Stonerise Healthcare Facility.

He will be missed by his family and friends for his years of hard work and his love. He was blessed with a gift from God to play anointed music on the piano and organ. Sherman at an early age gave his life unto the Lord. Prior to his brief illness, he dedicated his gift to many of the surrounding churches faithfully. His smile, his joy, his love, his compassion, his light will shine forever in the lives of everyone he touched.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor 748 S. Fayette St. Beckley with Rev. Thomas L. Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
