Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. Stanley Cook, 70, of Beckley died Monday, April 10, 2017.

Born March 31, 1947 in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of Reva Martin Cook of Beckley and the late Andy Lee Cook.

He was a Retired Veteran, recipient of The Purple Heart and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Cook and sister, Elaine Hayes.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Delores Cook of Beckley; daughter, Savannah Solomon of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Charles Martin of New Jersey, Lester Cook, Rev. Donald Cook and Erskin Cook, all of Beckley; sister, Theresa Hoskins of Beckley and a host

of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Welcome Baptist Church, 206 Eighth Street, Beckley with Rev. Donald Cook and Bishop David Allen officiating. Burial will be at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 130 Academy Drive, Dunbar, WV 25064.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
