Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Thomas Nathaniel Crowder Sr., 73, of Deepwater, WV died Saturday, September 3, 2016.

Born May 1, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia he was the son of the late Gustava and Aurelia Calvert Crowder.

He was a tractor trailer driver, and disabled US Navy veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Crowder; sons, Maurice and Gerald Crowder; brothers, Charles, John, Carlton, Gustava and James Crowder; sisters, Amy Crowder, Janice Burs, Majorie Coles and Magdaline Crowder.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his sons, Douglas (Lillie) Crowder of Kimberly, Thomas (Vernecia) Crowder Jr., Charles Crowder and Gustavia Crowder all of Deepwater; daughters, Jacqueline (Maurice) Foster of Ellenwood, GA, and Thomasina Crowder of Ft. Mill, SC; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. John Baptist Church, 484 Morris Drive, Montgomery, WV with Pastor Doug Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
