Obituary For Mr. Travis Anthony Hopkins

Mr. Travis Anthony Hopkins, 35, of Fayetteville, WV passed Monday, January 1, 2024.

Travis was born on October 19, 1988, in Beckley. He was the son of the late Gerald and Shawn Hopkins.

Travis attended Fayetteville High School. He graduated from Recovery Point, Huntington, WV, where he became a Peer Mentor. Travis was also a cook in the food industry. Travis had the biggest heart and his laugh was truly one of a kind.

Travis would say that his greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a father.

Travis, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Hopkins, Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, John and Gladys Turner and William and Althera Hopkins; uncles, Carl Hopkins, Jr. and Garrick Lloyd Hopkins and cousins, Alyssa Jones and Karlhyl Hopkins.

Travis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Katie Hopkins; children, Summer, Shirley, Isaac, Bella and Douglas; brothers, Gerald Hopkins Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Troy (Haley) Hopkins of Fayetteville, WV; grandmother, Betty Hopkins; aunts, Renee (Hopkins) Lewis of Morgantown, WV and Linda Hopkins of Fayetteville, WV; nieces, Braley, Claire & Lennix; nephews, Paxton, Tate & Tristian and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Monday January15, 2024 at Bradley Freewill Baptist Church 6132 Robert C. Byrd Dr. Mt. Hope, WV.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one-hour prior.
