Obituary For Mr. Will Richard Mack
Mr. Will Richard Mack also known as “Little Will”, 48, of Fayetteville WV, died Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Will was born September 16, 1976, to Karen Mack of Fayetteville, WV and the late Will Henry Mack.
Sometimes people are selfish, and as he would say stingy, but by no means was that the character of Little Will.
Instead, these words come to mind when thinking of him: caring, unselfish, respectful, loving, and respectable. These words were lived out by him and were very true to him. He had a very close relationship with his parents. He loved his mom so much, and often greeted her with the biggest hug he could muster up. He was also very close with his father; they would often spend time together by going fishing or telling each other who was better on the grill. Some of the many accomplishments in Wills life were attending Fayetteville High School and completing his GED, his work in the culinary field, and as he used to say, his kids.
He loved to cook, and oftentimes reminded everyone that he was the best in the family. Often stating that he was “gonna throw down on the grill, or he ain't gonna mess around with it.” He was a man that loved many things and one of those were his Cowboys. He was not just a fan, but a super fan, and if someone in the family had another team if they beat you, he was gonna be the first one to call you. As soon as you would answer all you would hear was “how about them boys!” Above all else however the love he had for Jesus was bigger than any of that. This was shown in a big way on May 5, 2024 when he was baptized. At the time he was attending Beckwith Apostolic Church under the pastorship of Pastor Robert Ayers. He was also all about his family, he called his cousins his brothers and sisters.
Preceding him in death are his father, Will Henry Mack; grandparents, Myrtle and Sydney Wood; and grandparents Rev. Richard and Mamie Mack.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, who loved her son, Karen (Bobby “Pops” Mack) Mack; uncle, Philip (Glenda) Johnson; aunts, Joann Jones, Lillie Mack Mosley (Uncle Tee), Annie Mack Evans (Willie); children, Star (Aaron) Wilson, Gabriel Mack, Christian Mack; grandchildren, Lilly and Walker; siblings, Terrence Evans, Alexes Mack, Mark Lamont Hance, Nikki Carey, Jalen Mack, and Shyloh Mack and a slew of nieces and nephews.
Special thanks also to special friend, April, for all her support and love.
As this Obituary is completed Will’s life still speaks. As Will would say, “let's start cooking”. Will was saved and because of that we cannot mourn as those that have no hope, but we rejoice in the fact that there is another soldier gone home!
Funeral service will be 12:00PM Friday, November 1, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 8687 Gatewood Rd., Fayetteville with Rev. Keith Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may visit with the family one-hour prior.
