Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. William Kent ôSmokeyö Bradley, 69, of Beckley, entered his Heavenly Home on Friday, December 9, 2016 after an extended illness.

Born June 19, 1947 in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Burl Hargrove and Queen Ester Bradley Harrington.

A former coal miner, he served in the U.S. Air Force in the Viet Nam Era and was also employed by the VA Medical Center in Salem VA as a housekeeper. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Beckley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Harrington; sister, Delores Conliffe; stepson, Jeremiah J. Moore and granddaughter, Jatara J. Moore.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife Mary Moore Bradley of Beckley; children, Sean K. Bradley of Washington, DC, Jamel L. (Nashella) Bradley of Beckley, Jerrod (Sarah) of Charlotte, NC and Jeremy ôLamontö (Stacy) of Beckley, brother, George Bradley of Cleveland, OH; sister, Joyce Bradley of Beckley; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave., Beckley with Rev. Nelson Staples III officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church.
