Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mr. William Leander "Bill" Moore, 51, of Beckley, died Monday, March 7, 2016.

Born July 27, 1964 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Emma Sears Moore of Beckley and the late Reverend Calvin Moore Sr.

Mr. Moore worked as shift manager for Bob Evans and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Lola Gilbert Moore; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Anna Belle Peters Sears; uncles, Lloyd, Monroe, Harvey and Robert Lee and aunts, Eva Hatcher and Isabelle Moore.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish precious memories are his brothers, Rev. Calvin (Maxcine) Moore Jr. and James Moore, both of Beckley; sister, Ophelia (George) Moore of Beckley; companion, Darlene Thompson; aunts, Evangelist Nellie Jones, Geraldine, Elizabeth and Ollie Moore, all of Beckley and Maxcine Moore of Columbus, Ohio; uncle, Robert (Ann) Sears of Bedford, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mool Ave. Beckley, with Rev. Nelson Staples III and Rev. Calvin Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
